Born and raised in Cuernavaca, Mexico, Sophia grew up questioning the world around her. This inquisitive nature led her to pursue a Bachelor’s in Data and Business Analytics at IE University, Spain. Sophia has also taken part in exchange programs in France, Italy, and the UK, which have helped her gain a global perspective and deep dive into analytics and finance. Her drive to uncover the complexities of human nature led her to gain internship experience in customer analytics and partaking in the Accuracy Business Cup, allowing her to understand the impact of data beyond numbers. Sophia aspires to use data analytics to enhance the performance of athletes and improve game strategies. On a personal note, the STEM Talent Girl Award and EmpowerHer are just two examples of Sophia’s commitment to inspiring women in STEM, a lifelong mission she continues to pursue.
