Alexa was born in Mexico and raised in France for most of her life before moving to Madrid three years ago. She is a PPLE (Politics, Philosophy, Law and Economics) student at IE University, where she has also been an active member and officer for IE Women & Allies. She had the opportunity to contribute to and lead projects promoting gender equality and women empowerment such as a podcast. Throughout her degree, she has developed a strong interest towards Human Rights and social justice in general, both through a political and more legal stance. This interest led her to participate first in the Policy Lab with a project on Mental Health & Psychological Support, then by getting involved in a project aiming at establishing the international legal status of the Lake Texcoco in Mexico, project encompassing all social, political and legal dimensions of Human Rights.
