Caroline Eliacheff, a child psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, grew up in an exceptional cultural environment, immersed in the world of cinema and journalism. She is the daughter of Anatole Eliacheff, a film producer, and Françoise Giroud, a journalist and politician.

After studying medicine at the Broussais Hôtel-Dieu Faculty of Medicine, Caroline specialized in child psychiatry and dedicated her career to psychoanalysis, working at Necker Hospital and directing the medical-psychological center in Issy-les-Moulineaux. She has published around ten books, including À corps et à cris: être psychanalyste avec les tout-petits (Odile Jacob), Mères-filles, une relation à trois with Nathalie Heinich (Albin Michel), Le Temps des victimes with Daniel Soulez-Larivière (Albin Michel), Françoise Dolto, une journée particulière (Flammarion), and Ma vie avec la Comtesse de Ségur (Gallimard). She also wrote the scripts for three films by Claude Chabrol: La Cérémonie, Merci pour le chocolat, and La Fleur du mal.

Committed to addressing sensitive issues, Caroline Eliacheff is the co-founder of the Observatoire de la Petite Sirène, where she addresses the challenges of gender transition in minors. She has published Comment le voile est tombé sur la crèche (Albin Michel) and, with Céline Masson, La fabrique de l’enfant trans-genre (ed. de l’Observatoire).
