Advisor to the Chairman of Capgemini on matters regarding energy and utilities, she is an independent director on Getlink, EDF CGG, Bouygues and Transition (a new SPAC) Boards of Directors.
24 November 2021, at La Samaritaine
As the prices of oil, coal and gas skyrocket and Europe experiences a record-breaking surge in fuel prices, few people really know what the future of energy should hold. With that in mind, LeadHers is happy to welcome Colette Lewiner, one of the most knowledgeable people on these topics.
Colette is at the forefront of the energy and technology fields. She chaired the European Nuclear Society and served as a member of the Advisory Group on Energy of the European Commission. She was the first woman appointed as a director at Electricité de France (EDF) and sits on their board of directors today.
As our speaker for this LeadHers event, Colette will discuss the energy transition: it must be sustainable, affordable and use all sources of energy available to us. Today, one billion people do not have access to electricity. How does the transition toward greener energy also include equitable access and lower costs to energy?
Colette will also discuss her path to success and her mentorship, which led her to create a scholarship to help girls from disadvantaged backgrounds pursue careers in the sciences. Colette and LeadHers share the same vision of supporting young women.
