Simplon.co Co-founder & President

8 January 2025, at Le Fouquet’s, Paris

Passionate about cyberculture, empowerment and technology, Frédéric has been working for 25 years to bring together digital and impact. In 2008, Frédéric co-founded Agence LIMITE, entirely dedicated to responsible communications for NGOs and foundations, then in 2013, Simplon.co, a social enterprise that has trained over 35,000 jobseekers in digital skills and technical professions (including 40% women, 12% people with disabilities, 6% refugees and 45% learners with a Baccalaureate or lower), and supports employees’ professional mobility through a network of 125 schools in 25 countries (Europe, Middle East, Africa, Colombia, Cambodia). Since 2018, Simplon has trained more than 3,000 people in AI-related professions and skills. Through the Simplon Foundation, AI awareness programs and hackathons focused on generative AI reach out to audiences far from employment, associations and publicize positive-impact use cases.

Frédéric is also an expert certified by Bpifrance as part of the Booster Data IA program supported by France 2030. Fellow Ashoka and EPIC Foundation since 2015, BCG Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2017, IT Personality of the Year 2022 for Le Monde Informatique, Prix de l’Audace HEC in 2023, Frédéric is also the author, with Nicolas Danet, of “Anonymous, peuvent-ils changer le monde?” (2011) and “Lire, écrire, compter, coder” (2014) published by FYP Editions.

Over breakfast, Frédéric shared his experience and answered all questions about AI to help gain a better understanding and use it efficiently and conscientiously.
