Marion Buchet

Former fighter pilot in the Air and Space Force & Chief Executive Officer of CERT Aviation

5 May 2026, at Marsan, Paris

We were delighted to welcome our guests to our LeadHers dinner, which featured Marion Buchet, one of the leading figures in French military aviation.

A fighter pilot in the French Air and Space Force for more than twenty years, she has accumulated nearly 3,000 flight hours, including over 2,000 on jet aircraft (Mirage F1, Alphajet, Mirage 2000). Operational and later an instructor at the fighter aviation school, she is among the few female fighter pilots in France and has made her mark in a historically male environment, embodying discipline, knowledge-sharing, and the opening of technical professions to women. Passionate about human performance, she earned a master’s degree in psychology and developed mental preparation programs for aircrews, particularly in decision-making under critical conditions.

Today, Marion Buchet heads CERT Aviation France, an organization founded by major industry players (Airbus, Air France, ADP, Dassault Aviation, DGAC, FNAM, Thales, UAF&FA). Its mission is to strengthen understanding of cyber threats, promote information sharing, and support the entire aeronautics and space sector in protecting against cyberattacks.

A Knight of the Legion of Honour and decorated with the Cross for Military Valour, she is a committed advocate for gender diversity in the armed forces: enabling women to progress without being hindered or overvalued, and ensuring their skills are fully recognized. She advances this mission notably through her role as president of the Af1D2 association since 2022.

During this evening, Marion Buchet shared the lessons drawn from her demanding career: how discipline, self‑mastery, and confidence become essential levers for strong leadership, decision‑making under pressure, and strengthening both individual and collective resilience.
