Originally from Ukraine, Valeriia is very serious about her aspirations to play an active role in addressing the escalation of the war in Ukraine and the future of her country. Having had to leave Ukraine in the early stages of the war, she completed high school with honors in Bulgaria before pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in the Eastern and Central Europe program at Sciences Po Paris. Alongside studying economics, politics, and law, Valeriia also contributed to a domestic violence project, working with a feminist association in Dijon. Following the outbreak of war, she participated in a student initiative aimed at aiding Ukrainians fleeing the conflict. During her year abroad, Valeriia furthered her legal knowledge at Durham University in England, focusing on international private law. She aspires to bring a legal perspective to the development of the war, focusing on questions of rebuilding and investment in Ukraine. Currently, Valeriia co-founded a legal aid project in France for Russian, Ukrainian, and Belarusian people on their difficult journey to find their place in France. Laureate of the Jeantet Excellence Scholarship, Valeriia is dedicated to advancing her legal career in Arbitration.
