President of the National Assembly
6 November 2024, at Maison Michodière by Hélène Darroze
Born in 1970, Yaël Braun-Pivet is a passionate politician and dedicated lawyer. Her unwavering commitment to defending the Republic and fighting for justice is at the core of her values, shaping both her personal and professional life.
Yaël’s deep involvement in community work is truly inspiring. She established free legal consultations through the Restos du Cœur association, ensuring that everyone has access to social rights and justice. Additionally, she set up a reception center in the Paris suburbs to support the most disadvantaged.
Elected to the National Assembly in 2017, Yaël made history as the second woman to chair the Law Committee. Her career progressed as she was appointed Minister for Overseas in 2022. In June of the same year, she broke new ground by becoming the first woman ever to be elected President of the National Assembly of the French Republic. Her leadership and devotion were recognized once again when she was re-elected for a second mandate in July 2024.
During our dinner, the President of the National Assembly will share her experiences and reflections. Her dedication and profound knowledge promise to enrich our discussions for an inspiring evening.
